Viscaloid helped make Halloween fun in America
By Larry LeMasters Alexander Paton, Ludwig Stross, and Bernard Doyle founded the Sterling Comb Company in 1901. While combs were not revolutionary, their method of making them was. Sterling Comb used a new chemical element—Viscoloid—to manufacture new items for the 20th century.
