Monterey furniture offered early cowboy look
by Larry LeMasters The term “Monterey Furniture” refers to furniture made in and around Monterey, Calif., from approximately 1930 to the mid-1940s. Monterey furniture designers derived their designs from several different design schools and styles, including California Mission, Spanish, Dutch Colonial, and cowboy accoutrements (such as branding irons and lariats), giving the furniture a uniquely western appeal.
